Abiquiu, New Mexico, USA

The connection of Abiquiu New Mexico and nearby Ghost Ranch with American Artist, Georgia O’Keeffe were the reason for our 2024 visit to the area. This blog highlights the special places that drew (and kept) O’Keeffe in the area. Our visit created a new appreciation in me for her love of the area and the art she produced.

Szentendre, Hungary (Travel)

Szentendre was a fun surprise to our itinerary on a day trip out of Budapest, Hungary. This “Artist’s Village” had ambiance and the atmosphere for most tastes in dining or shopping.

Austria: Schonbrunn Palace, Vienna (Art & Travel)

Schonbrunn Palace, Vienna, Austria is a spectacular palace and gardens similar to Versailles, France. Visitors not only experience its grandeur, but get a glimpse into the lives of the infamous Habsburg family and the fascinating empress, Maria Theresa! Sharing my experience in this blog allowed me to enjoy this experience to a deeper level.

Austria: Klimt & the Belvedere in Vienna (Art & Travel)

Klimt and the Belvedere were a highlight of our Viking river cruise through Vienna, Austria. Klimt’s use of gold leaf made seeing “The Kiss” in person much more spectacular than imagined!
