The Melk Abbey just west of Vienna Austria is a magnificent Baroque monastery. The yellow and white castle is perched high atop a cliff overlooking the Danube River. In this blog I share our visit in May 2025 on our Viking Grand European Cruise.

St. John’s Abbey & University, Collegeville, MN USA (Art & Travel)
Continuing our Skip & Cher’s Backyard Travel Dates, we ventured “Farther Afield” this week to St. John’s University in central MN, USA. World famous for its Bible, architecture, pottery, bread and Benedictine philosophy, it was a delightful day trip out of St. Paul/Minneapolis. My blog shares our journey and the wonderful people we met in story and photos.
