Klimt and the Belvedere were a highlight of our Viking river cruise through Vienna, Austria. Klimt’s use of gold leaf made seeing “The Kiss” in person much more spectacular than imagined!

Cher’s Travel Date: Museum of Russian Art (TMORA). A hidden gem in Mpls, it’s the only major institution in N. America devoted entirely to Russian art and culture from all of Russia’s history. TMORA stands with the people of Ukraine, as seen in current exhibit of provocative art of pro-Ukrainian political cartoons. Blog also includes photos by an American in Siberia/Stalin’s industrialization (1930s) & permanent collection.
Arb Adventure: MN Arboretum, Chanhassen, MN USA (Art & Travel)
Minnesota Arboretum “the arb” is a great Minneapolis, MN, Travel Date for any season, any age. 1,200 acres are filled with beautiful landscape and flowers, ponds and waterfalls, and Chinese, Japanese, and sculpture themed gardens. Children of all ages can enjoy a Maze Garden and Green Play Yard. Drive, walk or take a tram around the grounds. Pair it with a tour of Prince’s Paisley Park, just down the road.
